Traditional dishes in the locality include lamb stew and cochifrito [suckling pig fried in garlic].
Cold meats, such as relleno [stuffed sausage], are also characteristic, as are hornazos [a type of bun], typically eaten during the romería [religious procession] of the Virgen de Vallehermosa on Easter Monday.
The village also houses a small sheep’s cheese industry.
In terms of confectionery, attention should be drawn to the hojuelas en flor [flower-shaped crispy pancakes].
